About this formulation
Grape seed is a by-product of the wine and juice industries that has become a raw material in its own right, because the seed rather than the pulp holds the highest concentration of proanthocyanidins in the fruit. Grapopan Capsule is built on a dry extract of Vitis vinifera seed, assayed to not less than 95% oligomeric proanthocyanidins, with 400 mg of the extract in each capsule.
The formulation is used in two quite different contexts by our customers: as a general antioxidant and circulatory product, and as a nutricosmetic taken for skin. Both uses trace back to the same group of constituents.
The extract, and what it carries
Oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPCs) — the constituent by which the extract is standardised. OPCs are among the antioxidant compounds most often compared with vitamins C and E, and the body does not synthesise them, so they must come from the diet or from a preparation such as this one.
Support for the vascular system — OPCs are traditionally associated with protecting the heart and blood vessels, with resisting the oxidation of circulating cholesterol, and with the integrity of the capillary bed. This is the basis of the extract’s use in cardiovascular and circulatory formulations.
Support for collagen and skin — the same compounds interact with collagen and elastin, which is why grape seed extract appears in products aimed at wound healing, fine lines, skin tone and pigmentation.
General cellular support — by neutralising free radicals, the extract is used in formulations addressing the visible and functional effects of ageing, including vision and joint comfort.

Grapopan Capsule is manufactured at our GMP-certified unit and is available for third-party and private-label manufacturing. OPC specification, capsule size, bottle or blister packing and label artwork can be tailored to your requirement. Certificates of analysis are supplied with each consignment.
