About this formulation

Moringa oleifera is a fairly large tree native to India, known regionally as the drumstick tree, the horseradish tree or the ben oil tree, and in Sanskrit as Shigru. Its leaves have been eaten as a vegetable and used as medicine across the subcontinent for centuries. Moringa Tablet is a straightforward single-herb preparation: 500 mg of leaf powder in a coated tablet, offered as a daily nutritional supplement rather than as a formulation aimed at one specific system.

The herb, and why it is here

Shigru (Moringa oleifera) — the leaf is unusually dense in nutrients for a green plant. It carries protein, vitamin B6, vitamin C, riboflavin and iron in meaningful quantities, which is why moringa is used in nutrition programmes across India and parts of Africa where dietary variety is limited.

The leaf is also rich in a range of antioxidants, quercetin and chlorogenic acid among them, and leaf powder has been shown to raise blood antioxidant levels. That combination of ordinary nutrition and antioxidant content is the reason moringa appears in so many general-wellbeing products: it is a broad supplement rather than a targeted one, and it is well tolerated in daily use.

Presenting the leaf as a compressed, film-coated tablet solves two practical problems with loose moringa powder. The grassy taste that many people object to is contained, and the powder is protected from the moisture and light that degrade its vitamin content during storage. A tablet also makes the daily quantity unambiguous, which loose powder never quite does.
