About this formulation

In ayurveda, piles are described as Arsha — a condition in which vitiated apana vata and a weakened digestive fire together produce hard stool, straining and swelling of the veins around the anal canal. Management is therefore approached from two directions at once: keeping the bowel soft and regular, and calming the local tissue. Pilopan Tablet brings seven traditional ingredients together on that pattern, combining gentle bowel-regulating herbs, bitter digestives and cooling astringents in a single 500 mg tablet.

The herbs, and why they are here

Haritaki (Terminalia chebula) — one of the three fruits of Triphala, and the herb most often used in ayurveda to keep the bowel moving without harshness. It is also carminative and is traditionally associated with tissue repair and healthy digestion.

Indrajav (Holarrhena antidysenterica) — the seed is a classical ayurvedic material for the lower digestive tract, traditionally used to support regular, comfortable bowel function.

Daru Haridra (Berberis aristata) — a bitter, berberine-bearing bark used to support digestion, liver function and normal metabolism, with traditional antibacterial and anti-inflammatory associations.

Haridra (Curcuma longa) — turmeric, whose curcuminoids are among the best-studied plant antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds, included here for tissue comfort.

Aloe vera (Aloe barbadensis) — cooling and astringent, traditionally used to settle irritation, itching and a burning sensation in the ano-rectal area.

Shuddha Guggul (Commiphora mukul) — purified guggul resin, used in ayurveda where swelling, discomfort and restricted movement are present.

Shuddha Sphatik (Alumen) — purified alum, a classical mineral astringent long used to support normal blood flow and tone in the affected tissue.

Pilopan Tablet is manufactured at our GMP-certified unit and is available for third-party and private-label manufacturing. Blister or bottle packing, pack sizes and label artwork can be matched to your requirement. Certificates of analysis are supplied with each consignment, and our technical team can share product specifications on request.
